Breakout Session # 1: “How Can I Improve After the Camp Season”
Going to summer camps and clinics have been a staple for officials wanting to improve their craft and having an opportunity to be seen by assignors. When the summer ends, your pre-season preparation shouldn’t be put on hold. AOA Secretary/Treasurer Tim Loughnane will detail additional opportunities which officials can partake after the summer to fill the gap between July through November.
Breakout Session # 2: “Unusual Plays & Obscure Rules”
The NFHS Case Book is filled with numerous plays that examine your knowledge of the rules. IHSA Clinician Joe Spagnolo will review some of his “everyday favorites” that will test your understanding of plays that occasionally occur and may surprise you if you aren’t properly prepared. Knowing the rules, in addition to the application of the rules, is a foundation for success on the court.
