TOMMY KOUZMANOFF

Kouzmanoff officiated basketball and football and worked all levels of basketball, including working games in the NBA. He served as President of the AOA football division from 1951 to 1965, the longest serving President in any sport in the 100-year history of the AOA. Tommy officiated the IHSA state finals in 1953, 1954 and 1955. He worked as a reporter for the Chicago American and covered 31 state basketball tournaments. His column “Prep Patter” ran for 21 years. Kouzmanoff was inducted in the Illinois Basketball Coaches Hall of Fame in 1974 and is a member of the Chicago Catholic League Hall of Fame.
