Feign was a long-time ambassador of the AOA for three decades. Ron worked the 1997 IHSA Class AA state championship game between Loyola and Taylorville that drew the largest attendance figure in girls’ basketball state tournament history (7,454). Feign moved to Colorado, staying busy with the game, working the scorer’s table for US Air Force Academy Prep School and watching officials on the court. Ron also served the AOA as its basketball division vice-president in 1998.
