A high school basketball official for 30 years, Justin was a staple being on all the big games in the Chicagoland area during the seventies and eighties. Fortuna worked the IHSA state finals in 1981, 1982 and 1984. He served as President of the AOA basketball division from 1971-1973. He was honored as the Abe Glick Award recipient in 1998, named to the Chicago Public League Basketball Coaches Hall of Fame as an official in 1996, and inducted into the Illinois Basketball Coaches Association Hall of Fame in 2002. Fortuna passed away in 2000.
