Eddie worked 32 years as a basketball official.  He was a dedicated professional who served as mentor for two different officials’ associations.  Monaghan worked the IHSA state finals in 2006 and 2009.  Ed’s stellar career was cut short as he suddenly passed away at a basketball game in December of 2014. Monaghan was inducted into the Illinois Basketball Coach Association Hall of Fame in 2016.
